Simcoe County 2025 budget to add $48 avg increase in New Tecumseth

Simcoe County councillors approved a 2025 budget that will add $10.86 per $100,000 of market value assessment to property taxes for the upper tier portion, an average increase of 3.6 per cent. In New Tecumseth that works out to an overall average increase for the County portion of about $48.

 

The spending package falls just below $1 billion at $962 million ($694 million operating and $268 million capital), and will require $224.6 million in taxes to finance the budget.
