Posted November 25, 2024

Stevenson Memorial Hospital announced this afternoon Dr. Masha Samadi will take part in a 12-week clinical placement as part of the provincial government's new Practice Ready Ontario program.

Practice Ready Ontario is for internationally trained family physicians who already have clinical practice experience and will be exposed to care in high need, rural communities.

Dr. Samadi, (Pictured left) originally trained in Iran, is one of 30 internationally trained physicians participating the program across Ontario. At SMH, she will be directly supervised and assessed by Dr. Ihab Khalil (pictured right) within the Alliston Family Health Team, as well as with various physicians at the hospital, in the emergency and medical/surgical departments.

“We’re thrilled to have Dr. Samadi join our team of physicians at Stevenson,” said Dr. Roger Musa, Chief of Staff, SMH. “We’re proud to have our hospital chosen as a Practice Ready Ontario clinical field assessment site and know that she will get a lot out of her experience in a busy community hospital Emergency Department that is in demand, as well as a busy primary care practice."
