An obstructed rear license plate caught the attention of Nottawasaga OPP last night on Young Street, which led to a traffic stop, ending in the arrest of two males from Alliston facing several drug charges.

New Tecumseth councillors shaved a pinch over two per cent from the proposed 2025 average property tax hike going from 9.5 per cent to 7.61 per cent of the municipal portion. When the County and Education portions are factored in, the blended rate is 5.17, which still makes the total bill approximately $5,000 on a home with a $456,000 market value assessment.

Simcoe County to implement Medical Priority Dispatch System next week

Beginning November 14, Simcoe County paramedics will be called out under a new Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS) meaning urgent, life-threatening calls - cardiac or respiratory arrest, heart attack, severe allergic reaction or unconscious - are responded to first, while non-life-threatening calls may receive a delayed response.
