Male from Vaughan crashed car, charged impaired

Nottawasaga OPP charged a 29-year-old male from Vaughan with impaired driving following a single vehicle crash Friday night in Essa.
Emergency crews were called to the scene at Cty Rd 56 and Hwy 89, Jan. 10, at 11:30 pm and found the vehicle on the northside of the intersection in the eastside ditch. The driver and passenger were out of the car and were not injured.
The driverwas charge with:
• Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
• Driver fail to surrender licence
• Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
In addition to the charges, the driver was issued a 90-day license suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Bradford on February 27.
