GPS tracker on stolen RTV leads police to Alliston

On January 2, Nottawasaga OPP were called about the theft of a Kubota RTV from Peel Region, whose GPS tracker was pinging at an address in Alliston.
Yesterday, Nottawasaga Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Collingwood Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), and the OPP's Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant on Boyne Street. They not only located the stolen vehicle, but a large variety of goods valued at approximately $66,000.
Among the items seized (picture attached below): A Kubota RTV Value: $21,000, an Enclosed trailer Value: $5,000, 3 Red Honda Dirt bikes Value: $8,000, a Green Kawasaki Dirt bike Value: $3,500, a Honda Generator Value: $4,500, 4 Stihl trimmers Value: $2,280, 2 Stihl quick cut saws Value: $3,600, a Stihl Chainsaw Value: $300, 2 Hilti Jack hammer/Drills Value: $5,000, Echo backpack leaf blower Value: $400, Milwaukee band saw Value: $530, Milwaukee rotary hammer $1,000, Wacker Neuson plate tamper Value: $2,200, a Honda Snow blower and pressure washer Value: $2,500, MTD Snow blower Value: $500, and Hilti Electrical box Value: $1,500. and assorted brand-new Milwaukee power tools Value: $4,000.
Michael Brito, 29, of Alliston was arrested and charged with Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 and Obstruct Peace Officer.
The accused is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on February 20.
