Cruiser, car crash in Alliston under investigation

A two-car collision involving an OPP cruiser and passeger vehicle Saturday morning sent both drivers to hospital released without injuries, remains under investigation.
The Dec. 7th incident happened at approximately 9:40 am, at the intersection of Highway 89 and County Rd 10.
"The initial investigation revealed that an OPP Cruiser was travelling west bound on Highway 89 approaching the intersection on route to a call for service with its lights and sirens activated," according to police. "A passenger vehicle was travelling south bound on County Rd 10 approaching the intersection at Highway 89 when the vehicles collided within the intersection."
The road was closed at the intersection for approximately five hours while the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team processed the scene.
