Alliston liquor store thief makes off with over $2k in product​

Nottawasaga OPP looking for a suspect who stole 12 bottles of alcohol from the Smart Centres LCBO on January 3 with a retail value of $2,351.

 

Shortly before 8 pm, a male entered the Dunham Street store through the front and after roaming around several minutes, went to the back storage area grabbled three cases of liquor, exited the back door, and loaded the boxes into a dark coloured Charger before climbing into the passenger's seat. He fled the scene with 12, 375 mL bottles of Hennessy, six bottles of 750 mL Laphroaig, and six bottles of 750 mL Glenfiddich.

Shortly after, police received another call at the LCBO located at 36 Young Street in Alliston.

 

"The store employees had already been made aware of the incident at the other LCBO location when the male entered the store. The male asked the employee for Casamigos Tequila at which time he was asked to leave the store, during this time the employee contacted the Nottawasaga OPP immediately and the male was seen leaving in a black dodge charger." (It is LCBO policy that employees are not to confront shoplifters for safety reasons).

The Individual is described as: A South East Asian male, approximately 5' 10'', 200 pounds, heavy build, wearing a black baseball cap, black puffer jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers, and has a full facial beard.
