Toronto man charged in stabbing

A Bradford man is in Toronto hospital with serious injuries following a stabbing incident last night at a home on Cty Rd 27.

South Simcoe Police reported this morning they were called to the residence around 7 pm.

"When officers arrived, they found the victim laying on the ground," according to police. "The 42-year-old Bradford West Gwillimbury man was treated on scene by paramedics, transported to a local hospital and then airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre. His injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening."

SSP spotted the suspect walking on County Rd. 88 near Brown's Lane where he was arrested.

The suspect and victim were known to each other.

A 38-yearold Toronto man was charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault With A Weapon, Weapons Dangerous and Disobey Court Order. He was scheduled to appear in court this morning for a bail hearing.
