Morning crash claims a life in Alliston

A 43-year-old male was killed this morning in a two-vehicle head on collision on the Scotch Line, just north of Hwy 89.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at approximately 9:12 am.

Nottawasaga OPP reported this afternoon the collision involved a Pontiac Sunfire traveling northbound and a Honda Civic traveling southbound.

"The 43 year-old male driver of the Pontiac Sunfire was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male driver of the Honda Civic was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the female passenger of the Sunfire was transported by air ambulance to a Toronto hospital and is in critical but stable condition."

At this post no further details were provided. The Nottawasaga OPP were assisted at the scene by Essa and New Tecumseth Fire Department, Simcoe County Paramedics and OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigations (TTCI).
