Compensation review back on the table in New Tecumseth

Posted March 13, 2018

A request for proposal for consulting services to conduct a study for a market and pay equity compensation review for the Town, closes Thursday afternoon at 2 pm.

This follows last June's 6-3 council vote that spiked the review pending the appointment of a new CAO, which took place in July with the appointment of Blaine Parkin.

At the time, the Town was ready to award a $35,000 contract to Gallagher McDowall Associates to conduct the review for the Town's 121 full-time, 43 part-time/seasonal and Volunteer/Paid On Call Firefighters, including vacation entitlements, tuition allowances/reimbursements and paid leaves.

The public sector sunshine list for 2016 (the 2017 list will be released later this month), included 18 New Tecumseth administrators whose salaries ranged from $200,527.38 to $101,453.73.

At this post, it wasn't confirmed whether Council remuneration and benefits would also be included as requested previously by Ward 4 councillor Fran Sainsbury.
