Township council cost ratepayers $155k in 2018Posted February 8, 2019Adjala Tosorontio's Statement of Council Remuneration and Expense featured 11 members of council in 2018 at a total cost of $155,736. The additional four entries are a result of the 2018 municipal elections. Former Mayor Mary Small Brett topped out at $23,646 in remunerations and an additional $4,296 in total expenses. Former Deputy Mayor Doug Little was next at $21,112 in salary and benefits, and chalking up $3,518 in expenses. Current Deputy Mayor Bob Meadows, formerly Ward 3 councillor, clocked in at $20,677 followed by Ward 5 councillor Scott Anderson. Overall, salaries were $93,316, $35,682 in benefits, and $11,996 for extra meetings.
